Kill Bill Volume 2:
Definitely not as good as the first one. The original was a classic, a visually beautiful work of art, fantasy, and plain ol' ass kicking fun. The second, lacks the classicness of it all. What exactly happened to the cool cartoon effects? And the fantasy that was present in the first one, has sadly been found missing in Volume 2. Still, fans of the first one, you must see it...But then again, most likely, you already have...

The Punisher:
Another Marvel comic-made-movie that brings ass-kicking fun to life. No imagination needed here. The thing that brings life to this classic read is its 'realability.' It just seems like something that could actually happen, which makes me like it... All that really needs to be said... "You bring a knife to a gun fight?"

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind:
Another trippy ride into the f**ked up mind of Charlie Kaufman. It's a good movie with a good moral....Now I just need to figure out exactly what that moral was... It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved...No wait, thats not it... Forgeting your past is forgeting who you are and what you lo...No shit...That's not it either. With great power comes great...fudge.. OK, it's a good movie, see it or die...Or don't...Whatever.

Taking Lives:
This thriller probably would have been at the top of my list, but sadly, it's predictablity burned me out. But, I give this a B just because Miss Jolie is just so darned fine.

Tune in next week for more great(and not so great) movie reviews!! Same bat time...Same bat channel!!

vol. 1 can not live without vol. 2 and vice versa. vol. 1 was all about action and less character development and plot, but vol. 2 was in-depth and filled with emotion and story. To classify vol. 1 as a "classic" is unjust to vol. 2. tarantino focused on the story in vol. 2 and the story is just as "classic" as the action. you can't have a good fight fest without a good story.

o btw... the "cool cartoon effects" is something that the japanese calls anime.

Really? I thought it looked kind of stupid...was there an actual deep meaning to the movie, Ty?

So when did movies have to have a deep meaning to be good? It was just your classic feel good movie. Overly predictable. But it was cute, and thats what really counts.

Well, Kathleen expects there to be a great, deep, underlying theme to each and every movie...like books! _smile.gif
