If you go to My Xanga then you will see that I have a border under my date. So my question is...
Is there anyway that I can shorten that border so where it doesn't stick out on the sides like it does. |

Hmmm...you could either take out the border all together and use underline instead or specify a height in the blogheader class of your CSS.

It goes by the width. So try to make the size smaller on the date part.

in your layout code.. go to where it says "this edits the dates" and in there add a new line like this.. width:400; [and if its the last one in the list make sure it has a "}"] and you can change the width to shorten or make the line longer.
