Are you guilty of any of these things? And what do you think about people putting up "it's complicated" and/or "married to" a best friend?

The Hooking Up series is slighty tolerable to watch, though one too many facebook references.

Sure, it's dumb to do those things (and I have a mild contempt for anyone who uses "it's complicated" seriously with anyone but a friend), but I think the real issue it why we're so accepting of potential employers looking at social networking sites. If we put our facebooks as private, they should not be seen besides anyone we add as a friend, period. What I do during my free time has absolutely nothing to do with my qualification for a job. Mind you, I don't have inappropriate pictures up and think that's tacky, but if I'm 21 and looking for a job, so what if I have drunken pictures up? It's not illegal. /rant

yeah, I but my facebook profile on completely private. I'm pretty sure I'm unsearchable as well. There was a rumor about administrators from Columbia going around facebook to check up on students and I was pretty much like "wtf" *privacy*

Yeah, but that evidently does not prevent facebook from allowing companies to buy their way into seeing people's profiles. Otherwise I don't know why it'd be an issue, because you have to be an idiot to leave your profile open to people outside your networks (even then...).
