basically i got two novels, and i'm writing about how the secondary characters move the plot along (motivate and inspire the protagonists). but what gets me is how to incorporate the usage of literary devices in my essay. if that makes any sense..

literary devices as in using literary terms? it might sound weird, but i loved using stuff like allegory and alliteration in my papers lol

lol, i like writing about how diction reflects the character's emotions/feelings and/or foreshadow events.

oh sorry i didn't mean it like that-i meant like, sometimes it's easier to look at things that oppose each other (maybe you can talk about the opposing characteristics of the secondary characters and how they influence the protagonists differently? i dunno.)
