so i guess.. we should just stop joking around. cuz i guess mona assumes that all newcomers dont have a sense of humor. i'm not trying to be a bitch in this particular thread, but seriously, mona. we're joking around. who the hell would think a thread full of "ELBA SHUT UP ELBA SHUT UP" is serious? no one argues like that, unless they're in 2nd grade. lighten up. kara is right, we're not going to change just because you're not happy about the way we act. edit:// and i've been to forums and other types of online communities where people are MUCH more unwelcoming towards newcomers. ESPECIALLY towards pretty girls and dumb noobs because the majority of people on there are ugly geeks who need to validate their existence in cyberland. Like cliquemb? |

I didn't name any particular threads or particular people and I wasn't talking about inside jokes. It was more about conflicts.edit:// and i've been to forums and other types of online communities where people are MUCH more unwelcoming towards newcomers. And I'm not really concerned with other forums. One forum, and CB at that, is more than enough for me. |

No one is 'fighting', just discussing/sharing their opinions. There is a difference.

Can you start by using puncuation? Thanks.
Same goes for Undesi(red). Your posts confuse the hell out of me when you don't puncuate. |

it pisses me off.
i'm sure the things people do [including myself] doesn't help but the people who get attacked dug their grave on their OWN. lying is the biggest reason probably |

Oh, no, trust me on this one, you guys: I didn't mind that Suz was bullied. I don't think that she was "bullied" at all. People exposing someone's real side/agenda isn't bullying. Think of it as a candid press release. ;) And like Kara, I don't think that there's any "fighting" going on here at all. People can disagree or discuss things without it being "fighting." |

[Regarding Suzette] Even still superstitious, candid press releases could quite often be construed as defamation of character and that's a civil offence. A good lawyer can make a mint from the rubbish people publish online.
Seriously, after taking Law classes I'm extra careful about what I write online now. A little respect goes a helluva long way. |

Yikes, I didn't mean to get into a debate about Suzzette (in fact, I'm rather tired of the subject). I was just saying that I didn't think she was "bullied." :)
Having said that, having myself and my child mentioned among her little chats is a bit of defamation as well. ;) No win, no win. No matter how you look at it. |

Quite possibly I think things would become far too confused for any outsider to make sense of; but it's a scary thought to think that people on forums have been sued for what they've typed without thinking!
I scare myself sometimes, cripes. |

Oh jeez. But I don't know...I sort of agree with Mona. I think it has gotten better, but as we all are quite aware of, its not going to completely disappear (the drama/conflicts/etc.) so I think I've somewhat come to terms with that. *shrug* It does get frustrating in a way, but after some time there's not much that can be done. |

Defamation of character? You can't argue the truth. That bitch was two-faced. |

An opinion is not the truth, but opinion will null that offense so either way, you could theoretically be safe.

Ah, so 'the winner is who writes the history books' kinda argument? Wouldn't say it makes it fact though. To Wikipedia!
