There's a reason why the "to use instructions" on the back tell you to wet your face...

jk. The back label should also tell you the ingredients, in case you're allergic to anything.

Yes, of course.
I believe St. Ives Apricot Scrub was rated really high in some sort of awards thing this year. I'm honestly not sure... I'm probably going to try it next :)

The only reason you'd break out if you were to being using St. Ives is because you already have dirt in your pores. The purpose for St. Ives is to clean out the acne, grime, dirt, etc and prevent acne. The salycic acid in St. Ives cleans the dirt out by getting it out, and causing a pimple. But the pimple would go away faster since the cleanser contains salycic acid and other ingredients. And then after it goes away, St. Ives prevents it by cleaning out your pores when you clean.

Personally, I really love St. Ives; it gives you a clean feeling and my acne has somewhat improved after using it for a couple months.

^ I wouldn't recommend twice a day personally. The scrub is literally scrubbing away dead skin cells. However, if you do it too much you might be scratching new skin, which isn't good.

I use the Apricot Scrub in the morning to make my face look fresh, then one of their milder cleansers at night (exfoliates, but only a little bit) which has a bit of salycic acid.

The normal scrub has none. The cleanser has 0.5%, and the face wash has 2%.

You can go to http://www.stives.com to see all their products.

The one with the salycic acid might dry your skin more than the ones without, but all face products, no matter what they say, dry your skin out somewhat (wet face = drying).

XD ! (Moved to Health)

I use this scrub now and have for several years. I'll put it to you this way, I'm 31 and I still get compliments on my skin. ;)

My suggestion would be to only use it once a day, preferably in the morning. Use a non abrasive cleanser at night before bed. If you are really concerned about your skin drying out, make sure to use moisturizer that contains sunscreen.

No, that can screw up your skin and make it red.

i used the original formula in the orange tub for exfoliating before shaving and really like it. i recently began using the new formula in the soft squeezy tube. i didn't really care much for the face care products. but my boyfriend, who has HORRIBLE acne and tried every product under the sun, said he began clearing up after using it. and since it worked on him, i decided to use it to clear up my sudden onset of pimples.

it smells great. and although it takes awhile to kick in, it is so good for you skin. my face is smooth and has a great even tone. i'm golden now =)
