But what kind of pale lipstick? Like nude? And since I'm, you know, chocolaty, it makes it hard to pick that stuff out.

^ You could use a little concealer with some gloss on top to get the pale look without having to get a pale lipstick. Just a tiiinnny bit though.

Hmm... Interesting. I might have to try that out. I never thought about using face stuff on my lips. Thanks, Gigi! =D

That's what they did at one of the oooold Gucci runway shows. Black smokey eyes + pale concealered lips FTW, says Tom Ford.

I've never been able to do the smokey eye, mainly because eyeliner and me don't get along well. I hate putting it on, I never do it right, and when I think I do it right, it doesn't show up. That might because I have (had) cheap ass eyeliner.

I know people use concealer or foundation on their lips first and then use a paler/nude lipstick on top.
I've been into bright lips and nude eyes lately. |

Hm. I love the Bourjois glosses.
I think this is the color I have, too - rose a l'eau I usually wear that or something clear. If I'm going out, I usually wear this pear color by Estee Lauder: So yeah, I'm pretty into light/pale lip colors. If I go dark or bright, I look really gaudy -_-. I focus more on the eyes, though, lol. I think these pictures are from various nights of going out last year: ;) Which reminds me... I need to fix my eyebrows, lol. |

lol, my friend and i had a girls' night and experimented with makeup.
Don't look at the eyebrows. I tweezed in the semi-dark and messed up horribly :( |

In between uses I use MAC Brush Cleanser. I take a piece of tissue and put a few drops of the brush cleanser on it, then swirl the bristles into it. When I'm out of brush cleanser though, sometimes I just use water-based eye makeup remover.
Every month or so I'll wash them with a little bit of shampoo. Just make sure that when you rinse them, don't do it with the brush ferrule pointing up or else the water can trickle down the bristles and mess up the glue. |
