Seriously, I love her work. It's refreshing and original. It's art that's provocative, somewhat seductive but also obscure enough to allow one to use their imagination. I've always thought that art that can make one think, or at a minimum, make one stop long enough to give a few minutes worth of mental attention to is art that's doing its job. Brief Article: Body Painting Evolved: Emma Hack Body Art QUOTE In a world where body painting is celebrated more often with testosterone than artistic appreciation, Australian artist Emma Hack stands out. This skin illustrator, sculptor and photographer spent her early days as a hairstylist and make-up artist in Adelaide. In its infancy, Emma Hack saw her vision come to life in unlikely places, like face paintings for children or high-fashion makeup. It wasn’t until 1999 that Hack revealed her new form of art for the body, a stylized version of body painting that instantly won her a note of applause in the art world. Emma Hack’s latest collections include a focus not just on the human body, but its environment. Since 2005, she has released a series of Wallpaper works that merge the human body with the wallpaper designs of Florence Broadhurst. Broadhurst’s lush, organic wallpapers are painted on nude models by Hack, who are then seamlessly inserted into the Broadhurst original. The result is an illusory, stunning image of nude humanity on natural, stylish patterns. While Hack’s originals may not be available in living form, her prints are an ideal background for your own modern home. http://stylecrave.com/2009-01-02/body-pain...-hack-body-art/ Couple sections of her site: Collections Sculptures |

yeah i love her stuff. my favorite of course is the detailed patterns where you almost lose the person standing there.
although a big step down in technicality and detail, i loved her cowscape ones |

Some of them are a little strange, but they are cool.

Yeah, she has quite the range. (:p @the cows, JC)
More than likely I'm going to order some prints (or do what I can) for the new house (we move first weekend of February). It'll be for my room, so I'm not terribly concerned with the potentially eye popping images (there are many Mormons in my family). She has such an incredible eye, definitely has a steady hand. |

Wow, think of how nerves this girls must have been while being painted and walking around.
No way I would be able to do it. |
