This is only the second layout I've made from scratch and I'm pretty proud of it, but I'm sure it could still use some work. Feel free to comment and critique and hopefully help me to improve it.

I'm not that creative, to start off with, which is probably why it looks so plain. xP I think I tried to balance it out with the busier background, but then after looking at the background for a while it started to look kind of odd, too.

The top bit does look empty. Originally when I was making the layout in Dreamweaver, the box was only tiny, only tall enough to fit the text in it. When I moved it over to my Blogger template, it made a huge box that I couldn't seem to get rid of. x_o

Yeah, it looks pretty basic. I don't really like the background that much, but I agree, maybe if you made a top banner that kinda had the same theme and colors as the background, then it would sorta balance out and it wouldn't look to plain. Maybe you could also try doing something spiffy with the navigation like rollovers or something.

The layout looks so plain to me, imo. I would change the color of the red lines in the background though. Maybe you should add a banner over top or something. shrug.gif

Pretty much what they said. But the idea's cute. Just elaborate on it more. nod.gif

Originally the box was centred, and it was actually a box with dimensions around 800px x 500px. I was going to keep it like that and use a scrollbar to get through the posts, but someone commented on another layout I made and said the scrollbar in it was unappealing, so I didn't. Do you think I should change it back to that?

My links are highlighted blue when you roll over them, is that what you meant? Or is there something else I can do?

The background makes me a little dizzy and headachey D:
Although, that might be because I haven't slept very well recently ._.
