you know what sucks?
when you get mistaken for being someone's mom. the other day i was babysitting this little five year old boy, and i didn't really want to sit around watching bob the builder, so i decided to take him shopping with me. it was really awkward, because people kept asking me things like, "oh and is your son going to go in the changing room with you, or..." i just didn't know what to say. "NO HE'S NOT MY KID," or what? the sad thing is he looks nothing like me. we're not even the same nationality. i mean, i was carrying him around and hugging him and stuff, but really... so awkward. has this ever happened to anyone else? |

No. I hate children. I feel your pain though. -pats- That's why I wonder in my mind.. and not really ask anyone straight out. It seems rather rude.

argh that used to happen to me ALL THE TIME when I would babysit. I would just say that the weren't my kids. It didn't really bother me much though. People just can be quick to assume

Lol that;s ironic, my 27-year old sister, she was taking care of her daughter in her house and when this old lady knocked in their door, my sister, bringing her daughter with her, answered and the old lady was like, "Are your parents home?"
lol this kinda the same as your topic except this one is about mistaking you for a parent lol man i know it;s mean but it;s mad funny |

i hope they wont mistake me for someone's mom.
but i've been mistaken for someone's daughter. it was pretty awkward. "is she your mom?"/"are you mother and daughter?" "no, that would mean she had me when she was five." |

I have raised my cousins baby, so yeah, most definatly...
What sucks is when your teacher screams "you ruined your life by having a child" and im like "dude, its not mine" and shes like, "DON'T LIE TO ME!" |

YES.
I'm 15 and I was at the mall with my 14 year old brother. So I was looking at clothes and my brother was a few feet away and his friend comes up to him and goes "So you still go shopping your mom?" OUCH. |

Want to know what's worse? Getting mistaken for you mother's sister. Who's older than you by around 3o-ish years.
Or the child of your 17-year-old cousin. And you're 12. |

I've been mistaken for being my baby brother's mother. Only once though from this strange lady. That was last year. And uh, yeah. They were 2 and 1 and I was still 13.

lol mine was something like this but i find it more funny. Just last week i went out with my bestfriend, we went to coldstone cuz she was craving for some ice cream. My bestfriend is pregrant (no, im not the father :p ) and we had to bring her little brother (whos only 4 months old).
so yeh, i was carrying her baby brother and i had to open the door for her. We walked in and people were just looking at us. I bet you that they were all thinking that im the father of the baby and the one in her womb. lol crazy shit, teens with two kids already? Hopefully it wont happen to me |

I don't like kids, so I don't babysit.
My grandma is pretty young, and she looks young too. She looks like she could maybe be in her 40s and she is almost 60. Anyways, when me and her go out in public, people think that she is my mom. |
