Internet forums aren't what they used to be. Social media has taken over and nearly everything is instant, thus making forums a bit of a relic. However, there are forums that remain popular.
How can we get more people to cB? Any ideas? |

I don't see how creating a new forum would be any better than trying to revive the current one?
Here's an idea; utilize the resources you already have which can cause a sort of guerilla marketing campaign. What's hot right now? Make use of that. Reach out to member who are popular outside of the forum. This will create traffic. |

I don't see how creating a new forum would be any better than trying to revive the current one? We would have more control over a new forum. Right now the only thing keeping the spam restricted to the feedback area is the fact that you now have to PM a mod to be put into the "human" group so you can post. And I know I wouldn't join a forum that made me do that. Jusun gave us nothing to work with so now the site decays. I want CB to be active again, and I don't think that the downfall of myspace/ect. was the sole or even major reason CB is dying. I think we could have easily ditched the myspace section, and focused on layout templates. But more importantly made it to where you joined for the community/forums not for the graphics/layouts. CB had a good mixture of people who knew what the f*ck they were doing, and people who were completely incompetent but might of had some kind of potential. But right now, CB is in no condition to attract members. |
