I'd like to propose an official members lounge. It'd be pretty much the same as the current lounge, except it would only be open to official members (and everyone else that's not just a common member)
be a nice way to give another perk, and give people a place to bond without all the riff raff getting in and interfering. |

I like the idea. One, because it seems like being an Official Member doesn't mean much at all, and part of me really wishes it would. Two, it creates the incentive to become one. Three, I'd never even thought of the bonding part of it - plus, you'd *hope* it would be um. Uh. Better behaved. ("Behaved" is the wrong word. Another one is at the tip of my fingers. It's just not coming out.)
And it may just be me, but hasn't this been discussed before? |

Yeah, I remember you bringing this up.
It's got it's up and downs, but I'm going to think about it some more. |

Wait, so it'd be only Official Members? I assumed staff would be allowed, too.

BOO WAIT TIL I'M OFFICIAL MEMBER, PLZ. ;)
This is a good idea, though. I think it would encourage others to try to contribute to cB. It's for all Officials, right? Official Designer, etc. included? |

basically, yes. Normal site rules and all would apply and it would basically be the same, just a smaller community where you're more likely to know the people and have some fun conversations.
It would bring the advantages of a smaller community to cB. |

I'm for it
It would actually give something to the Official members and designers besides having the extra pm storage space. |

This sounds really cool... I would just hope that everyone could be mature enough to stop it turning into a forum filled with gossip and complaints about noobs.
=/ From my experience, that's what often happens to special forums for "elite" members. |

yeah because I used to be official member status but there wasn't really any perks besides the pm storage and I mean thats really not enough this would at least help people stay motivated.
great idea. |

Now that I think about it, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. I think it'll be a great way to have our cB members join as cB Official members. That way, things don't seem so jammed in the forums with less spamage and all of that.

So would official designers/referrers be allowed...?
Just wondering. |

Well, even if they don't necessarily post a lot, they contribute a lot. I think this would a really nice gesture for all those who have paid their dues (so-to-speak) and deserve more as an Official <Insert Title>.
Just as long as newly registered members aren't made to feel alienated, I think this is a great idea. |

I think this is a good idea, simply because it will hopefully encourage Official Member applications, as there really aren't that many perks at the moment.

ever since the xanga tools went away (which i've been searching for since cb4 came out) there really is no reason to be an official member other than the increased p/m storage and pride.
ill be expecting this when i get home from work at 8 |

Maybe if we had a bit more stringent requirements for Official Membership (don't worry Michelle, there can always be exceptions and I am not proposing to make it harder for you) cause like, everyone's an Official Member. But yeah, that's a good idea because it used to be way hard to be one and it was exclusive but now since everyone has 38957896 posts, not so much.
