^ Even though I didn't, I absolutely disagree with that stance. And there ARE ways to disguise that process. If people don't like it, turn your heads. If it's pervy kids you're worried about, parents should be open about these things and educate their children. Blame them, not the mothers who are breastfeeding.
Until you have a baby crying his ass off because he needs food STAT, try not to judge. Seriously. |

I think it just depends on the place. I mean at the zoo? At a table at a resturant? I think there are places you just shouldn't do it. I'm not against it at all. I think it's a healthy thing for a woman to be doing because it helps with bonding with the child and shrinking the uterus (and sometimes helping with baby weight) but if you know you're going somewhere for a long time, maybe bring something with you so you don't have to just whip it out in front of people.

If only our world was a little bit more mature I would have said
breast feeding would be quite fine if not a natural occurance that should be accepted. It's troublesome to be cooped up at home for months not being able to go out with your child out in the world because breast feeding isn't allowed and your child needs milk so often. I would go insane if that was the case.. Can you truely blame a mother for soothing the needs of a child so young? It's not like she could tell the kid, "shut up about your damn milk until I get back to the car". But back to the topic, with pervs running about and camera phones being available I can't say it's a good idea to allow it.. |

If i was a mother i wouldn't be comfortable breast-feeding in public anyway... I'm not sure if it should be banned.

they are there for a reason...
we are mammals just like animals at the zoo.. if a child's hungry the mom is going to do something about it! if you were eating at a fancy restaurant and a baby starts screaming because it is hungry, would you rather let it scream or let the mother breastfeed it? |
