Someone move this to the lounge or debate or something. I don't have control of this forum.

My opinion about profanity is because people need strong words to express their feelings. When certain words are "forbidden" or labeled as "profanity", it preserves the meaning of the word, so when you use it, you can really convey a strong emotion. Unless you overuse it, then it means nothing.
