Hello everyone!
This is the official thread to discuss contest ideas for the art forum. I realize we had one like this before, but it has died :( Please give any feedback, because this place does need more activity and artists! I have decided to pair up with Tori (JustAnotherTeenageLoser) who is one of our most successful artists (check the Hall of Fame) to throw the next few contests! So, if you would please, throw out some ideas / themes / ways for another contest. Thanks! |

Kristina and I had were planning kind of a blueprint for a large scale art contest. I guess we could pass that on to you guys. (I just don't have the time to at the moment.)

I think, what we had generating, was something like Artist Left Standing, where each round would have a different theme and you'd create something off of that theme. No limitations on medium, because thats just....wrong. Maybe color limitations, though. And...hm. What else. Oh, there'd be extensive deadlines..like..long periods of time.
Jesus, can you think of anything else? |

Take one object (name it or provide a specific photo) to draw, paint, etc. If there are no limitations on tools or mediums then I think it would turn out all right. E.g., an apple--someone can do a pencil sketch, someone else can use watercolors to paint it.

OH OH Fanart comics? Do a comic strip or page of characters from your chosen book, movie, video game, etc.

I definitely like that "Artist Left Standing" idea. That way, we can use so many different themes and styles of art... fanart included. :P

Ooh, I like that Last Artist Standing, thing.
Although I suck at drawing. I'd volunteer to be a judge. |
