Do you mean like an Instant Messaging thing? They've had that like forever.
If you mean like texting to a phone from your computer, than no, I don't think if they've done that. yet. |

Why do social networking sites change stuff! So tuoopid! But eventually people will find something other then twitter cause that is just how it is! Facebok and twitter are being overun by younger kids so the adults move on. Atleast thats how it is for me. I have like a fan base if little 10 year olds that wont freaking leave me alone!

I actually think this is very smart, I mean if myspacers get into the habit of using this email then they will have to log back into myspace just for the emails. Also why not kill two birds with one stone? Instead of logging into a email account and your myspace account, just do it at once, I love this! :]

damn whats so bad about myspace?
alot of updates happen you can pick weather to have a clean profile (2.o) or a profile you can customize (1.o) both can customize, just 2.0 is easier. when you reply a comment to someone. a window pops up insead of going to thier myspace and comment,or to the add comment page. now they have a email client.and its in beta so its gonna have more features maybe the text feature (maybe). don't have to download myspace I/m no more but if you do, you can call other people thats using myspaceIM for free.if you have a microphone. it has status, you can tell your friends what are you doing? plus the status has a comment feature now, you can comment the status everything looks cleaner then before. also for the games/apps. you can pick to disable them. maybe what they can fix and improve are the bulletines, picture albums, more themes for the home page. or maybe let us customize the home page? i mean myspace is like one of the best sites. so why do people hate on myspace so much? |

There is a possibility that since myspace keeps changing, some changes will be permanent and if the 2.0 switch WAS permanent then 90% of createblog would have been useless for a while. Also, it's a hassle trying to learn something new, when everything was fine as it was. |

Not to mention trying to find new hide codes don't help us improve design at all.

Too many little kids tryin to throw up gang/pic signs or looking like little whores so that they could possibly grab the attention of some "good looking, young man" and get raped my them. Also, all of the spamming in the bulletins and a bunch of the apps just make it go to shit and it also makes my computer lag some. All of the constant changes keep making it harder to design stuff. Also, the way so many people tyPe lieKK dIzz and have little pointless symbols in their usernames. |

Myspace has just gone to the shitter. I wasted three years of my life building a site around making content for that (500+ layouts, 200+ comment boxes...the list goes on), and now barely any of it even works. I guess the chance you take when you make content for another site, but xanga never did anything like that to me. It just died because Myspace came along.
I think the problem is that Myspace keeps trying to be Facebook. Instead of becoming a sad copy of something else, why not stick with what people liked before? Maybe those changes present interesting little challenges for casual designers, but people like me with established sites are screwed. :/ |
