have you ever f*cked something up in school and just wanted to shoot yourself because you can't believe that you f*cked it up?
here's my story. at my school, at some point you have to fulfill an advanced composition credit. you can either get a B in comp 1 and A in comp 2, pass an exemption test, or take the semester long course. well no one f*cking told me this while i was taking comp1&2 and i got a B in comp2. i didn't care at the time because who cares, it's just composition. but i could have easily got a A had i just put in some extra editing effort into a few of my essays. so that was my first f*ck up that makes me sick. so then they told me i had to take this exemption test. i wasn't even nervous because i knew i was gonna pass this. all we had to do was read some readings and write an argumentative essay on them in a timed amount of time. there's not much that i enjoy more than arguing and debating so i figured i had it in the bag. then i got in there to take it, and my brain just left my head for about an hour. everything i wrote was stupid, i couldn't ever link my ideas together. i was too stressed out about the time and the topic was f*cking stupid. it was one of those times that you can't believe this is really happening right now and that you can't get it together. i knew as i was taking it that i was screwing myself over. well surprise surprise, I f*ckING MISSED THE CUT OF BY 4 POINTS and now i have to take a semester class on something i don't even need. i don't even need to learn how to write essays. i already know! now i'm gonna be in a class of dipshit students because anyone with half a brain should have gotten themselves exempt. so anyway has something like this happened to you and you were completely shocked that you messed something so easy up? i can't believe that i'm going to be wasting my time taking this class when i should be taking a class that i really need to be taking. it's just amazing to me. the whole point of me taking summer classes right now was to get back on track and now i'm going to be set back off track because i f*cked up. |

This topic title looked so mad when I clicked "View New Posts".
I blank out a lot during tests, which is why I hate them so much. There are a lot of professors who will bump you up a letter grade if you're only a point or two away, but I have had some who will make no exception for you, even if you've been there every single and have engaged in class conversations, etc. and basically shown that you know the material. |

yeah sorry, it was when i had just read that i failed that i wrote that title.
i wish they would bump me up 4 points but there is no chance. i wouldn't have passed my essay either though cause it really sucked. it wasn't even coherent to any point when i read over it but i duno what happened. i just couldn't get it together. |

It's so unfortunate when something in your personal life happens that causes you to fall off track and of course professors have sympathy.

One summer i decided i wanted to take some night classes so i wouldn't have to wake up early. I managed to register for a class under continuing eduaction. I dont even know how i did that but i had to retake the class to get college credit. I was pissed! Luckily my teacher wasn't a complete jerk and he just used all my same grades. I didn't even go to class just did an internship for him, which i was planning on doing anyway. It all worked out i guess except for my parents having to pay for the class twice.

oohhh yea. it's a long story.
but my misfortune led me to tattooing. i got so much satisfaction out of jamming a tattoo needle into someone. and all my fustration was released whenever some dumbwitted guy came in to get an ampallangs piercing. (no, i'm not sadistic xD) actually, that job was the best. it was decent pay, fun work and it allowed me the time to go back and continue with my schooling at carleton university. |
