How Can I Prevent Yeast Infections?
What you wear — or don't wear — can help you avoid a yeast infection. Yeast grows best in a warm, moist environment: think wet bathing suits, tight jeans, and stretchy exercise gear. Nylon underwear, pantyhose, and other synthetic materials that trap moisture also make yeast infections more likely.

^ I just found that on Yahoo! Answers.. Doesn't help all that much pinch.gif

It says "warm moist environment" so I'd think it'd be BETTER wearing something airy like a g-string. But on the other hand, the string DOES get pretty warm and moist I guess.

Meh, I dont know. But now you've got me interested in finding out. XD.gif

It may not specifically be a yeast infection (as far as I know sexually active people are more apt to develop them, as with UTIs), but I'm sure it could cause something.

Yes, having your vajayjay in a thong can give you a yeast infection. Because if tight jeans can give you one, why can't tight underpants? blink.gif

It really depends on the reaction you have. If you tend to get sweaty or moist down there, it is quite possible. There are things you can do to help avoid yeast infections though. The active cultures in yogurt help. Also, take cranberry supplements or better yet, eat fresh cranberries on a daily basis.

I read somewhere that you can get different infections down there because imagine the thong like a towel. Half of the towel in a sink full of water, and half laying out of the sink dry. If you were to leave it there, eventually the entire towel will be soaked.

Now apply that to a thong. You have vaginal fluids/discharge coming out one hole and it gets soaked into a thong and gets into another place it doesn't belong, infections are very possible.

Honestly, I'm not the one to ask about this stuff. I'm sure you could get some type of infection if you don't take good care down there and with your undies. If you're really worried wear regular underwear or something.

Not that I know of. But, you should stay away from synthetic underwear. It's warm and wet, and makes a breeding ground for bacteria since the area doesn't breathe.

I think they mean wearing it for a long extended time. I mean, if you change your underwear and take showers regularly, you should be okay.

Thongs arn't my favorite... I feel like I've got something stuck up my ass all day. mellow.gif But I'll wear them.

Personally, I like boy shorts. XD.gif

I think the best way to avoid a yeast infection is to wash your undies!

I think you can get yeast infection from wearing tight clothes because not much air got down there.

Wearing cotton is the best for you. I'm not sure if wearing a thong will cause a yeast infection faster than a pair of panties, but just keep it safe with COTTON.

Your pussy has to be breathe, too.
