Currently majoring in Business Administration, possibly going to do a joint major or minor in Psychology too. Why? Because my parents and sister didn't think just Education or Psychology would be good enough.

Right now I'm Liberal Arts, so I am taking different classes to see if the things that I am thinking about doing are what I really want. You can always change your major.

But not always if you intend to graduate on time. I'm sticking with poli sci at this point because it's already too late for it to make any sense to switch.

oh. well i didn't decide i wanted to do it until my senior year, second semester. i was a late bloomer. i wasn't even thinking about college until then because i just wanted to be done with high school. i had started baking that year, just for fun and i liked it. i decided to start with culinary arts instead of baking and pastries because i figured it would be a good place to start.

I majored in stuff I liked. And I'm selfish. And I don't think I'd make a good teacher, honestly. I'm not patient enough.

That's pretty much it. My mom and sister are convinced that sticking to a 'normal' business career would keep the money coming in, but that a career in psychology or education is just too risky. In order to become a respectable psychologist/psychiatrist/therapist, I'd have to get a PhD. As for education, teachers start off as TOCs (for a really really long time) who get paid shit, and newer teachers get laid off all the time. It's a question of stability.

i'm double majoring in philosophy & english literature.
i want to finish my undergraduate work & then possibly look for some film studies work or some film studies schooling. if i can't find anything to do in film, i'll continue my education in english/philosophy. going for a ph.d. so i can teach university.

essentially, my areas of study reflect my personal interests. i watch a lot of movies, i enjoy reading, & i study philosophy for leisure.
