So I need some new bands to get into for 08.

I am very open as I listen to all kindns of music from Brooks & Dunn to The Diplomats.

My favorite band is The Strokes, and I like bands like The Hives, The Vines, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Juliana Theory, Paramore, Coheed, ETC.!

I am just trying to open my ears and eyes to new things.

Any helpful suggestions would really help! _smile.gif

Have you ever listened to At the Drive-in? They're "experimental," but I find their one song, Cosmonaut, to not be half-bad. I don't bother trying to find new music anymore, but that's one band that most people wouldn't try.

Do you like metal? Can you ignore annoying voices until you get used to them and realize they aren't too bad? Can you listen to japanese music? :)

The Shins are AWESOME! None of the songs on any of their albums need skipping.

Somewhat like Morningwood: Uffie, Coco, Css, Freezepop, The Bird & The Bee.
Then there is also stuff like Ingrid Michaelson, Sia, Terra Naomi, Imogen Heap, Frou Frou, Cat Power, and Rilo Kiley.

I love Within Temptation, but judging by the other bands you listed, I'm not too sure if you'd like them. But her voice is beautiful.
