captive bead rings?, gah Options

so my industrial isn't healing correctly and i just replaced the bar with two 14 gauge captive bead rings:



wtf man, this shit is a bitch to put on.

in the "how to" it told me to open it with pliers, but i ended up popping out the bead by opening scissors in the middle.

i thought this would be a 5 min process, but it took me a good half an hour to snap the bead back on and my entire ear ended up drenched in blood

this better work.

have you ever had to use a CBR to heal a piercing? did you put it in yourself or get a professional to do it for you?

i used them for about 5 months and then finally decided it wasn't worth it.
i had to go to the tattoo shop to have them put mine on...
