One thing that bugs me a lot is that I am friends with so many different people on fb that I have to keep them in mind when changing my status... it gets really annoying. I am friends with pastors from all over the world, and five year olds, and christian home schoolers. So That kind cuts a good 2/3 of the things I can say...or links I can post...for example... I was just about to post a link to urban dictionary but I could immediately think of at least 20 people that would be extremely offended. and I cant change my status to, just watched watchmen because I now of 10 moms that would comment, "your aloud to watch that? O my!"

...

discuss.

You do realize that this is 100% your fault.

My facebook status is currently my facebook URL.

That's more obscene than anything I'm sure you would say.

I know what you mean. When I had a facebook I had some of my friends from church and some of my friends not from church. I had to be careful about what pictures I posted.

Because my dad is a pastor and I know MANY personally. There are like over 50 pastors at my church. We have like 15,000 thousand people coming in a week.

Yeah, I have some teachers and family members on FB that I don't want seeing some things too... that's why I use the custom privacy settings. Seriously Joseph. Use it.

Assume the entire internet hates everything you stand for. Because for most people, it's true.

I have several Facebook friends who are Mormon (my family is Mormon, for the most part) and I still have f*ck in my status all the time. It's my Facebook, they can ignore my status updates if it offends them.

Facebook is pretty annoying, and I'm about to ditch it for good. It's become about as useful as a chocolate teapot. 50% of my news feed are people posting stupid results from stupid quizzes. I keep clicking the "Hide notifications from this stupid quiz app" button, but since each and every different quiz is also a different application, it's about impossible to keep on top of that garbage.

Facebook was cool back in 2004/2005, but when they added the ability to upload photos, I knew it had taken a downward spiral.

truth.
anytime you allow images and actual friend adding on a site you know that site is doomed to destroy itself.

Well, you could always friend people on Facebook. That was the point -- it was basically a glorified Rolodex. The difference is, back when Facebook got started, friending people and sending them messages or leaving them "graffiti" (the ghetto pre-cursor -- no pun intended -- of the current Facebook wall post) was pretty much all you could do. Now it's unencumbered with a whole bunch of useless crap and privacy concerns. It's the Microsoft Windows of social networking.

Seriously, I'm just going back to email and cell phones. I think the Internet is overloading me with information, and I have the email address or cell phone number of anyone I want to keep in contact with, anyway.

I disagree, photos weren't that bad, but since it was changed to a new layout and a more myspace feel, thats when the self destruction became imminent
