I'm just a little bit crazy... Group: Member Posts: 1,119 Joined: Jun 2004 Member No: 19,760 |
I'm 13, and going through puberty. That explains weight gain.
And the obvious thing is that I wanna lose it. [For myself.] Currently, I'm: •cycling 3.25 miles [takes 20-22 mins. max] •30 push-ups •100 sit-ups/crunches •50 for obliques Any suggestions to which I can add to my routine? [The abdomen is what I'm looking for, but all will be accepted.] ~Thanks In Advance~ |

in gym we do these stupid leg lift things (25 times per leg or 25 times with both legs) my gym teacher said it was for your tummy
if you're 13 i don't think you should be exercising so much i know that if i did all of that i'd die, i can't handle really vigorous work outs, i get these painful cramps in my stomach (no it's not from my period) , eating healthy will probably help, not only while you're trying to lose weight but throughout your life so you won't get all that weight back |

Keep your weight as it is. You'll need the fat as you're going through puberty. Then, after, you're going to lose all those pounds. Damn, I sure did. Before I was like 90 now I'm 80. >_<

Well, if you are doing push-ups and such which gain muscle, then you aren't going to lose weight, you are going to gain weight. If you want to lose weiht you need to be in your max heart rate for 20 minutes once a day three times a week. Which mean cycling for 20 minutes with your heart beating around 130 (if your thirteen.)
I'm basing this on the fact that my max heart rate was 135 at age 14 and it's 137 at age 15. So, work up to your heart rate and then stay there for 20 minutes and then slow it down, don't just STOP! |

I don't think you should lose weight just yet. Going through puberty needs a lot of stuff. You'll always get hungry & if your just stressing 'bout loseing weight then other things will happen. Just excerise through your PE/gym class. After months of puberty, you'll be sure to lose weight. Your still growing that's why.

Eating healthy&extra curricular activities at school. :)
Once I started marching band (although I no longer not in it b/c I grad..), I got into shape. I was always moving around, and walking home from school was no prob! ;D I loved walking..but now that I`m no longer in it, I`ve become a lazy bum. haha. I think I should start walking again. But either way, you should just try to appreciate your body. I don`t understand why people stress themselves on how they look, but if it makes them feel better - then I guess can`t say anything about that. Just don`t overwork your body because you`re still young. ;] You`re beautiful the way you are. EVERYBODY is beautiful the way they are. =) |

wait why is this forum in the fashion forum
anyways i think you should eat less, eat lots of vegetables and drink lots of water. cause it takes your waste into little bits of crumbs. heh... also don't eat too much junk foods. you can eat some but it has to be under 400 calories. heh |

Well, I think this is in the wrong forum. I don't know where it should go. Does Sports sound okay? It is about exercise techniques, and all.
EDIT// TOPIC MOVED TO SPORTS |
