Perhaps you could rearrange the furniture (or buy some new ones!) Or as Maggie stated, paint your room. Sticking posters and stars on your ceiling can let people see what you like.

Yes, rearrange it. Get some cool artwork to hang out it. You can also go and get cool things that look good and store stuff that's inexpensive, like Target.

Uhh... Re-arrange your room, paint it, pretty much the same things the people above me said. Put posters, or pictures. Anything you think would make your room look cool.

My rooms pretty plain too. Just find something your interested in and center your room around that. My friend likes the beach and has blue walls and one of those moving picture thingies where it makes the ripples in the oceans above her bed. Its pretty cool.

wow, this totally reminds me of extreme makover now or something.
post up a 'before' picture so we can see what parts need help. paint walls your favorite color or a blend of both, using stripes or something like that. add posters, pictures, message boards, etc. |

Green and brown polka dots.
OMG get a hole in your floor to size of your mattress, put your mattress there and sleep in it! That would save room AND look cool. |

Have you ever watched the channel HGTV? 'Cause alot of times, they show like cool easy, cheap ways to redecorate a room and make it look like a designer did it.

I'm a big fan of simple design, so I say keep your room with solid walls, or maybe paint one wall an accent colour. Then try with geometric shapes and solid colour for shelving and stuff. Finding a place to put everything is always the biggest challenge.

IKEA is your answer.
Get something like bright colored, that'll spice it up. |

Make your walls glass. But don't throw any stones while inside.

I would pick a theme and then go from there. My room is kind of a tropical theme, so I have some palm tree picture frames, and some flamingo lights.. but whatever your style, I'm sure it will look cool when you finish.
