Tina - you want dense bristles? You should go to Target and Test out Sonia Kushuk's flat top blush brush - it's soooo soft and dense! It's the premium line, so it has a black handle. And it's only $15!!! I love that brush. I've used it for foundation powder and blush.

Idk Ii remember reading somewhere that SE special edition MAC brush sets are of lower quality. ;( You can also see videos on YouTube about comparisons! The SE brushes tend to shed or weren't as dense (which you might not like) so it might be a waste of money in the long run if you plan to use those brushes often. This isn't for all MAC SE brushes, but it's more understandable why the SE sets are priced lower than combining the price of all the regular brushes individually :)

^ I have a holiday SE set. The quality is definitely lower, but for the usage I get out of them, I'm quite satisfied. For one thing, they're a LOT cheaper so I can travel easily with them, and if they get a bit bent out of shape I don't really care. And I mostly just want the 187SE (which is probably one of the better SE versions of the fullsize brushes).

Though I do wanna try the Sephora skunk brush now that Tina said all those things about it, blue goo and all!

Is there any shedding with it when you wash them? I've actually considered the SE holiday brush sets before, but I'm always afraid that each time I wash it (especially for face brushes), it will shed. Some reviewers would post up the downside of the sets sad.gif But knowing that you own a set and the brushes still work out fine is good to hear! :D

Oh shedding...minimal I'd say. The worst one I have is the 224SE, but I still use that one daily because I have not yet replaced it. But I really really hate the 224SE. Really scratchy, doesn't blend for shit. Sheds a bit too.

But all the other SE brushes I have are great - even the 129SE powder/blush brush is good. Yeah, it's not reeeally soft or anything, but softer than a drugstore natural hair brush and I have minimal shedding with it.

Pretty! My best friend might as well be my personal, free makeup artist because she likes doing my makeup, even if that was just one time so far. She's going to have many more chances to do my makeup and teach me how to use it myself this summer, though.

It's sooo convenient ahaha like whenever I go out she offers to do my hair and makeup or if she needs to practice something I'll be her model. She's also going to do hair and makeup on any future photo shoots of mine. Last night she airbrushed my makeup and it looked sooo amazing and this morning she airbrushed a whole bridal party. :]

Wow. May I ask how old she is, and how long she's been doing each of those things? If you ever take a day trip to New York with her, or if I can go to Philadelphia (your school's in West Chester, right?) for a day... ;) I expect to see photography topics from you, featuring your pretty face and hair!

She's actually younger than me, she's almost twenty and has been doing it for about two years now. She does hair and makeup at a nice salon in town that I actually go to, but she also does "freelance" (if I can call it that) hair and makeup on her own. She just got back from California last week working at a makeup design place for two months. She got some pretty cool opportunities to do makeup for fashion shows and even Entourage.
