Ok, it seems like a lot of people are misinformed. Beenly, in my opinion you should do some research on what you are so passionate about "saving", before you tell other people that are not informed about what is happening. You can't call something cruelty just because if it happened to you right now it would be cruelty.
For example, many birds beaks are cauterized. This is something that PETA has been getting hot headed over, because the animal can feel it. BUT, this usually happens at birth, so it is less tramatic for the animal. A simular thing happens with cows, called dehorning. Either they are put in and entrapment and have their horns physically removed and then a vet places powder on the wound to help their blood clot and keep from bleeding. Or, the more humane way, their owners place a thick paste on their horns before they are weaned from thier mother's milk and it slowly burns away their horns. By time both the chicken and the cow are adults, they will not have remembered this happening to them. Do you eat meat? Why do you only have an issue with birds? Why don't you have an issue with the treatment of cattle? Maybe you should start waving a red flag at the people who drink milk, because they are exploiting the nutritional resources that are intended for it's young? |

They are actually intelligent. When cows are dehorned, they still live. Chickens loose their beaks, and they basically starve to death. Chickens or Cows won't probably live long, because the fact they've suffered this torture, and would basically die by default. QUOTE I replied with a crying face cause I dont like E fights but your obviously acting way to immature about the situation. Again let me say it with caps this time to your second statement I NEVER SAID CHICKENS ARE STUPID I dont give a rats ass about their intelligence level Chickens are chickens, okay you eat it, I eat it and so does almost everyone else. I dont see a reason why we should give chickens so much attention. Also you have never proved to me that chickens are dinosaurs. and like Karmakiller said, animals have lower intelligence levels then humans they arent going to get emotional scars for life. You forgot absinthe, and mackenziee. and if you want the proof it's HERE. USA TODAY. AND here for a more detailed. ------------------------------------- I'm logging off now, for school. If anyone has anything else to say, I'll reply back tomorrow at 7 PM EASTERN TIME. |
