basically, this past year i gained A LOT of weight..like 20 pounds. since then, i've been exercising and trying to eat healthier and stuff and have lost most of it. i still haven't gotten back to my original weight, which was 100. last week ago i was at 105 and happy with my body. then the weekend came, and i gained like, 2-3 pounds? and that made me feel really gross and fat. i'm short, so even two pounds makes a difference on my stomach. but the last few days, i feel a lot skinner than i did at 107. like my stomach is really flat and everything. but i'm 110 now!
i;m just trying to find an eplanation? |

Did you have a big meal lately? Usually when I eat a lot, I gain anywhere from 1-3 pounds in a matter of hours, but the next morning it changes again. You should weigh yourself at the same time every day, rather than doing it erratically.
Although, you should never let the weight that your scale shows you affect how you feel about yourself. Weight alone does not tell you how your body is changing. I think the most accurate and convenient thing to look at is how your clothes are fitting you, compared to how they did before. |

^ agreed. also keep in mind that when you work out you gain muscle, so that could explain why you don't see the change on the scale.

You have to intake a calorie excess to gain muscle. I doubt she's eating enough for that.
You should weigh yourself once a week in the morning before breakfast to avoid short-term fluctuations. |

How you "feel" is an ambiguous factor. You can feel sluggish from eating, lack of sleep, or placebo. You're not going to feel a difference from three pounds in itself.

Water weight? Just because you're working out doesn't mean you'll gain weight. Most women don't. My weight flucuates a lot, but as long as it's only about 2-3 pounds difference, it isn't something that I fret about. Maybe you shouldn't base so much about how you feel on the number of the scale. Even if you aren't as small as you once were, if you feel good and look good, then 3 pounds shouldn't matter.

You're not going to feel a difference from three pounds in itself I can feel a difference when I put on a few pounds. But it's cause I still weigh in the 2-digit scale. pink.x.rose - You probably gained muscle in your abs area. Anyway, make sure when you're exercising, you're targeting areas that you want to tone. Don't just stick to one specific exercise. :] It's better to mix them up. |

My weight fluctuates between 125 and 130 usually. Any higher or lower and I start to notice a difference.
But, I'm sure your fine. 107 is a crazy low weight. |

I can feel a difference when I put on a few pounds. But it's cause I still weigh in the 2-digit scale. Placebo. Your weight fluctuates between a few pounds every day. Also, tone comes from heavy lifting, not from gaining definition. Tonus is the ionic measure of your muscles' readiness to do anaerobic work. |
