read the author's comments
QUOTE Designer's comments Jojo, pretteh.. Like the skin? I used another user's image, once again. Once I find the author, I will give credit. anyways, it should be removed. |

you didn't take that picture yourself, did you?
so you are, in effect, stealing the photographer's artwork. i don't think it's called jocking if she's trying to credit you. i mean, sure, asking for permission first would have been good, but still. |

I removed it. It's easier to PM something like to an Admin or Head Staff because they have to power to do so. Thanks for reporting it though. It's wrong to use another's graphic whether or not you credit; you must be granted permission to use it.
Justin- Then most of the layouts on the internet, not just cB, would be considered jocked. I know where you're coming from, but it's impractical. Edit\ Okay, now I'm just being hypocritical. |

Would it be all right to just have her credit the picture? It would be wrong to delete the layout because of the image that she used. And she did say that she would give the proper credit to the creator of the image, when she found out who it was. I go through this all the time, I find some of my old layouts on other sites, when I ask them where they got the image, they just said that they googled for it. And they always oblidge when I ask if they could give me credit for the image.
edit// i guess mona just took a quicker approach. |

thing is, she should of known who the creator was since she got it from this site. so she should of came to me and asked and then credited me. how else would she of found it? plus she edited it as well

maybe she googled jojo and it came up.
the link isn't from the site, so if she just did a picture search she wouldn't have known. usually, you do like to see them change it a bit more to justify artistic use, but really, there's no standard. |

If she googled it, someone else could have jocked it from here, from you. And then she could have gotten it off that persons site, and they could have said like (All images are okay to use wherever you want) so she probably didn't know. She just knew that the image had to have been from someone. plus she could have also gotten it off the site, the same way that she has it. Becuase she didnt mention anywhere that she edited it. at all. |

i believe as of 2001 everything is automatically copyrighted, whether or not the owner puts a little © on it or not.

If they just make it, it isn't copyrighted. Posting it on DA makes it copyrighted and so does getting something that I believe is called a creative common liscence (sorry I'm not sure if that is what it's called). I'm not saying it's right, just that unless she has that it isn't copyrighted.
It's a pet peeve I have, when people put the © when it isn't here : http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/ |

Will message her. The layout has been removed and the issue resolved, so I will close this now.
