Tae Kwon Do for 4 years

Acupuncture Chiropractic Center 10+ Hours

CSF: 3 semesters
National Honors Society : 1 year
Science Olympiad: 1 Year

SAT I: 2050 Math: 720 CR: 620 Verbal: 710

What does your HS transcript look like? If you have C's in all your AP's and C or D on the finals in those AP's than that doesn't mean a whole lot for you.

What's your ACT scores? I hope they're above 28... that's for damn sure.

Chances are ACTs weren't taken. Not required, etc.

lol I like how Cornell is your "semi back up."

Anyways, your resume looks pretty good and I'd say you have a pretty good chance of getting in. For me, having a high GPA and good SAT scores is good, but really isn't what makes you stand out. Remember that most of the people who apply have good scores and do well in school. It's the extracurricular, volunteer, and essay that's sorta make or break.

I see that you play violin... even if you're not planning to major in music, if you can make a good tape and send it in, DO IT.

I got into UCB.

Anyways, going to a high ranked University is overrated.

lul you should've gone to UCSD - beach <3 and no cows

Based on that resume, you'll probably get into any UC. Eh, UCs should be a fall back if you're aiming for Johns Hopkins. More prestigious universities can be or are advantageous, but it depends on how you work it I guess. i.e. networking and what the college has to offer to help reach your goals in life, that's all. Your GPA shouldn't matter too much as long as you keep it hight, however I'm surprised you have a low weighted GPA even thought you got 4's and 5's on AP tests? Ah well, I got quite a few B's back in the day. I'm assuming you're a junior though since college applications were due a long time ago for seniors.

omfg you're going to get RAPED by out-of-state tuition/housing fees if you go to Johns Hopkins!

I didn't give a rat's ass about extra-curricular stuff since I know I was going to get in the college I would most likely be in. xmas.gif
