WICKED by Gregory Maguire. (:
It's about the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch Glinda from 'Wizard of Oz' before Dorothy and Toto came along. The book inspired the Broadway Musical, which I really want to see. |

A lot of people thought Da Vinci Code was a really good book. Wait I also heard that there will be a movie on that. Is that true? Hm Heh I don't really read books these days. Just magazines and comic books heh............................. not because I hate books. Of course I love them... there's just nothing fun to read about |

Series I like a lot:
Daughters of the Moon by Lynne Ewing The Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey The Claidi Journals by Tanith Lee Trickster's Choice & Trickster's Queen by Tamora Pierce Circle of Magic by Tamora Pierce Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling Sweep by Cate Tiernan Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien Witches Night Out by Silver Raven Wolf (her "non-fiction" is crap but this wasn't bad) Everworld by K.A. Applegate Young Wizards by Diane Duane Eragon by Christopher Paolini All of that is sci-fi/fantasy/faerie tales type stuff. That's what I really like to read. I'm not into thrillers or horror. But I need something new... I'm going to the library Sunday and I've got a couple books to look at and see if it sparks my interest but I'd like some more suggestions. Does anyboy know any good fantasy series? |

Have you read anything by Mercedes Lackey or Terry Goodkind? You suck. She's my favorite author. Todd is good but he's no where near his mother. I haven't read anything by Mercedes Lackey or Terry Goodkind. My mom has been trying to get me to read a series by Mercedes Lackey. I think it's called the Companions series or something like that... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- xXYouMeBedNowXx: I've heard that Wicked was a really good book. It's on the list of books I made of books to check out. I've read The Da Vinci Code. It was good, but not my normal type of reading. I've seen the Artemis Fowl books at the library and stuff but I haven't heard anything about them... what are they about? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IAmRad: What is it about? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New-Skin: I went to the website u gave me and read the little blurb at the top. It sounds kool. |

QUOTE Mein Kampf - Adolf Hitler (Be careful with this book) Yeah, of going to sleep. THE single most boring book I've ever skimmed through, merely because it was too uninteresting to read seriously. Man if you're looking for a controversial book try 'Anarchism' by Kropotkin. Interesting stuff. |

It was good, but not my normal type of reading. I've seen the Artemis Fowl books at the library and stuff but I haven't heard anything about them... what are they about? Wicked is basically a different version of the classic "The Wizard Of Oz" from the Wicked Witch Of The West's point of view. It is good, however, if you don't like having the environment stick out a lot (like LOTR) then you should probably keep away from this. Artemis Fowl is a fourteen year old boy, criminal mastermind, and one of the smartest kids on the planet. His biggest find lately is the discovery of The People: Faries, Leprachauns, Goblins, etc. in an underground city called Haven. Throughout the series, it shows Artemis constantly confronting and dealing with his problems along side wit the "People", whether it be robbing, saving his father's life, or getting revenge. Must read. |
