Ok, this is probably the most simple and stupid question out there, but how do people make those blinking avatars (not necessarily an avatar) where it flashed one picture, then another, then another, and it loops like that forever.

if u have photoshop...the animation program that comes with it is imageready...imageready is really easy to use, so after u make ur graphic in photoshop, u can animated it in imageready, itz a really good deal.

well basically it's an animated gif ... not 2 hard if u have the patience to do it. I personally like to use unFreeze as my animator.
from scratch to make a simple blinking avatar u.....: 1. pic the pictures you want to use....crop and edit so they're all the same size and shape 2. decide what order they're going in...( I like to put them in a seperate folder in my comp) 3. make sure all the images are gifs 4. use unFreeze (or other animating program) to animate, [you can decide the rate each image stays on for, and if u want it 2 infinate loop] there are of course other, easier programs 2 do stuff like this, but I like this one personally ..... pm me if u totally didn't understand ma lil blub here ^ |

all you do is get like images you want, then go to imageready and using the animation bar, you just copy and paste the frames together to make it blink. as mireh said, im pretty shure they have the tutorial at peachie.nu as well. you could also try soompi.com's tutorial section (look for cheah's tutorials, its pinned in the tutorial section)

it's really easy, i started today and i made my avatar in just a few mins! read the image ready help file, it puts it in a few easy steps. or read your manual, it's probably in there too.
