Looking for some new speakers. I can actually hear the crapiness of my speakers now. What do yall suggest? Just don't say bose. If you are thinking bose then you know nothing about audio.
If it's anything but logitech I'll definitely question it. |

My boyfriend has banned Bose. Something about over pricing and such.

The only reason not to buy Bose is because you really like money.

Do you want a 2.0 set, a 2.1 set, a 5.1 set, a 7.1 set, or headphones?
And what is your budget? I personally suggest the Logitech G51 speakers for 5.1, just because they're relatively cheap, sound great, are really nice for anything that involves surround sound, and are on logitech's higher end line of shit. |

Forgot about this thread. My budget is 80. I don't think I want headphones. Probably 2.1 because I couldn't set it up in my room properly because I'm not aloud to make holes in the walls. Also, in our new house (Yup cb. We've lived in my house for 5 months and we're moving again.) The game room, media and living room are pre wired fo either 5.1 or 7.1. And we want to get some speakers for two of those rooms. I'm guessing my parents would like to keep it around 80 as well. None of them no what good speakers sound like so they just need to have good subs cause if the room is shaking they think the speakers are amazing. |

For a surround set, you're not going to get much for that price, but if they're willing to pay more than $80, one of these would be the answer: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16882290066 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16882115213 |

Will I still be able to get bass with the one with no subwoofer? What I have now is some 30 dollar walmart altec lansing speakers. I'm sure they're crap I just haven't heard better. And for the last two... No way I'm paying that much. We've always just got the cheapest surround sound speakers we can from walmart. Last ones we got cost 40 and they sounded great. Even though, again, I'm sure they sound like crap. |

Between the first two I would get the Behringer set.
Also fyi, the behringer set has two whoofers, they're just integrated into the main thing. |

I wish I could hear them, but from what I've seen they seem like good quality speakers. I'll probably be blown away cause I've never heard good speakers. You think they'll be using their full potential with an ipod touch or attached to my macbook pro? When I eventually get a gaymen rig I may also get a good sound card. |

I'm a big fan of my 5.1 Altec Lansing speakers, but that might be because I got them for forty bucks down from four hundred.

I have altec lansing speakers too. I don't mind them, and they were cheap. They have never failed on me, it's usually the audio cable that messes the sound up.

You'll do fine with the onboard sound in those devices. |
