I corrected all your pinyin mistakes (in red). Dude, I'm from Hong Kong. YOU'RE supposed to be the one who's good at Pinyin!

wink.gif Heh. Yes, I'm bored. I hope you don't mind, Jeffio.  happy.gif

haha, you're so right!

It's cuz I'm one of those freaks that learned zhuyin and pinyin and messed up my foundation. tongue.gif

How do you know?!

About a year ago, I actually read this tiny book that my half-sister received years back. The dates describe in the book were actually based on the Chinese Lunar Year, rather than the "American" New Year... You know what I mean?

Anyway, it showed this picture of a wheel with all all 12 animals, as well as I believe 6 elements. On the top of my head, I believe they were Wood, Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Gold. The wheel also showed whether one is a ying or a yang. I'll go look for the book later tonight and tell you wink.gif

Gong Hei Phat Choi and Chuc Mung Nam Moi ;x

Since I am half Vietnamese and Half Chinese. :]

I know Mandarin as well. It's kind of important to learn Mandarin, more so than Cantonese, actually. I know Hanyu Pinyin, which is just all that English writing for Chinese/Mandarin.

I mean, I could do English writing for Cantonese. It just looks weird...and the unified system to do that is confusing, with upside down e's and stuff.

See, here's an example:
Mandarin: Gong xi fa cai
Cantonese: Gong hai fat choi

^ Same characters, same meaning, different pronunciations. It's just that more people can understand the Mandarin Pinyin.
