I have a song i really wanna put on my xanga...but i only have it on my Itunes and I don't think it's readily available online...it's "Somebody Loves You" by Gregory Douglass (from his self-titled album), fyi. I don't know if I need to change the format or something? Please help!

I think you need to convert your file to a file format which works on the Internet. I don't know what programmes you should use though, sorry.

There is no way to convert from AAC to any other widely used format becasue it's so obscure and Apple is the only one that uses it. Besides, they've put some sort of lock on that format so no one can duplicate their software (which I think is so selfish). You'll have to find .wav, mp3, Real, WMP, etc version of it to play on your xanga. Check the Big Book of Resources for a long list of music sites.

OK...

so you have a mpeg/aac format yes? Go here and download it:

http://www.imtoo.com/mp3-wav-converter.html

It will convert your AAC into mp3. Just open it up, and add the song into the program from wherever you stored in the folder and click "Encode". If it asks you for the name and license code, just click Cancel and it'll still Encode the AAC into mp3. This will help you convert the AAC file into mp3. Hope this helps.

the iMToo WMA/MP3 converter is the ONLY program that can convert a AAC file into mp3. iTunes might help, too. I know this because I've converted most of my songs from AAC into mp3. It works great, too.
