no, i didn't just do that because everyone loves them, my sister downloaded their songs and sings/kills them all the time, so that was my main motivation, along with the fact that i don't really see what's so great about their music (i find it very annoying in fact). the other part was just an added plus, because some people i know are obsessed and think that greenday is "underground", which is not the case. sorry if i came off like an ass, i should've fully explained my reasoning to add them to that list before making a remark like that.

I still listen to their older stuff though.
 But I hate how this girl who listens to Christina and Britney (still does), suddenly goes up to my friend and I and says, "I love Green Day!!!!" ... I felt really disappointed at that point. |

I'd have to say that i liked Green Day's old stuff better =] Though it's just really annoying when people ask " OMG do you know that song boulevard of broken dreams!? i love that song so much!" and then they go " OMG OMG GREEN DAY!....."

I like Green Day. But it does get annoying how everybody in my school is all, "Omg, Green Day is so frickin cool!". But they never listened to them before American Idiot. And yeah, it bugs me how "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" became so mainstream. It's everywhere.

The new green day isn't that bad, but the old green day is much better. My friend got the newest cd, became obsessed with it, now when i talk to her on the phone, she always sing there songs. Now im pretty tired of them. I still like the song, but it is still overplayed.

i'm not that concerned with green day becoming main stream, because i never really listened to them before (too young lol). but like i dont like other things becoming mainstream because... ppl just like it because it IS mainstream. they dont care whether they "like it" or not. as long as it's what everyone else is listening to. and THEN they start copying the bands. dressing like them, picking up guitar, or w.e. THEN they start decorating everything with band icons and everything... gah annoying
 think for yourself ppl...

Greenday, I don't see why everyone slags them so much. it seems to me that everyone's always beatin stuff up that goes mainstream. Music's music, you like it you don't. Whatever. But people that just hate cuz of mainstream is the most retarded thing ever heard of. As for Greenday's new CD, I don't see what's so bad about it. I like old and new Greenday, what's not to like about ANY of their work?
