Dell doesn't have an inspiron 7500 model, their models are as follows:
700m, 600m, 1000, 1150, 5160, 6000, 8600, 9200
What's sad is that I recalled this off the top of my head. So either you are sadly mistaken about the model or it isn't a Dell, or it's a really old model of Dell, but I know all the Dell models that have been sold in like the last 2 years so that's gotta be one old laptop. Anyways yea I'm typing on my Compaq Presario 2199us from my bed right now. Wireless internet rules.

<--- Wireless on Alienware Sentia. Blows your compaq out of the water in every aspect.
I get the best range with the sentia. Even my dell 600m doesnt get nearly this far. f**king awesome.

And dont bother saying that your desktop owns mine. post proof that you have an ALX or stop by and post in the Alienware Community forums. I spent nearly 3000 on my Area 51.

WTF? Since when did this turn into a computer comparison? I never said my compaq was good. And good job, you dropped $3,000 on an Area 51 when there are people who can build computers for less that could easily blow your comp out of the water. Just because it says Alienware doesn't make it the best. I could design a computer right now with stock parts better than your's. I don't need an ALX to be better than your comp.

$800 2x6800gt
$189 MSI "K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI" NVIDIA nForce4 SLI Chipset
$755 AMD Athlon 64 FX-53, 1MB L2 Cache, Windows Compatible 64-bit Processor 939 Pin
$140 Geil 1GB PC3200 400MHz Dual Channel Ultra Series
$179 Western Digital Raptor 74GB 10,000RPM SATA Hard Drive
$48 SIIG UltraATA 133 PCI RAID Card
$50 200gb Western Digital UATA Hard Drive 7,200RPM
$50 200gb Western Digital UATA Hard Drive 7,200RPM
$70 X-Connect 500watt modular powersupply
$550 Dell 20" Ultrasharp LCD

$2,831

Of course most of these prices are from Newegg and as such they can be gotten cheaper elsewhere. You can't overclock your computer otherwise you'd void your warrentee and then what would you have paid that Alienware premium for? However this configuration could easily be overclocked. Of course it doesn't take into account a case but hey, you don't always need looks. Oh and $800 for 2 6800gt's is more than necessary but I added some extra in for good measure. I could actually have another $50 left over. Didn't need 400gb of harddrive space either it's always good to have more. There's still over $100 left over. Too bad not all of us have rich relatives and can grow up as spoiled brats but hey as long as you have money, brains don't matter.

Spoiled brat i earned every penny that goes into my car and pcs. Btw, AMD sucks ass, at least my opinion anyway. I dont use my pc for just gaming. I produce huge videos and write massive software (10,000+ lines) Also you forgot SATA, and DDR2 memory. I still doubt thats gonna get better FPS in doom 3, even with SLI. Yep no case is right, what are you going to run it out of, a plain white tower? BIG difference in 1GB -> 2GB too bro.

Also dont forget to save your money for a car soon, lmao.

Btw, A for Effort. wink.gif Goodnight

Hey, funny, you don't seem to realize that SATA has almost no perfomance benifit over PATA seeing as how you can barely fill ATA-133 with the data coming from the harddrive, and not to mention I do have a Raptor included in the configuration.

So you put every penny into your car and pcs eh? How much do you make an our? Like $50? Seeing as how you're less than a year older than me I can hardly see you making the over $7,000 that would be necessary to purchase what you have. If you didn't notice, I included a 20" Dell Ultrasharp LCD, assuming I turned around on Ebay and sold it for $700 would then have another $150 to work with. I could easily continue repeating this process until I had a lot of money. If I decided I wanted to spend all my $3,000 on Ultrasharps and turn around and sell them on Ebay I could, then I'd have a hell of a lot more to spend. But that's besides the point. Had I included a smaller monitor I could have saved some money, as such I could easily turned around and bought another 1gb of ram. DDR2 currently has almost no performance benifits over normal DDR. I also could have easily gone with one 6800 ultra and saved myself evenmore. As I already said, there's over $100 left for a case.

And goodnight to you too.
