haha my instructor was like.. 'you guys are the icing on the cake for the band, if you screw up.. the whole band looks bad. if you do good, the whole band looks great!' marching season is over though.. T.T
but winterguard is pretttttty cool too.

our started off the season sucking, but as it went on they won our class twice

but thats good, because we didnt win our class in anything at lassiter because all the good bands were there

they make the marching band better because the flags really add to the effect of the band. but they have to be a good colorguard team! if you are bad, than you suck! wink.gif

lol. man our group is like in triple a regional.. or something like that. but the school near us is in WORLD OPEN! that's AMAZING!

yeah.. uh.. eh.. when colorguards look like washing machines.. not. not. not pretty at all. the visual goes down the drain

i've seen it before in the US...but i haven't really seen any of that here in canada (bc to be exact) considering our schools are a lot smaller too...

my mom was watching our school band and said You should do that! Doesnt that look like fun! And I was like no. thats lame, no offense, but its like baton twirling.

im sorry i have to post this again. people just dont know/understand what color guard is >< and its really frustrating. Winter guard exists in the United States, Canada, Holland, Japan, England, Korea, Germany, Ireland and South Africa.
its just more popular in some places that others.

not really. the flags make it different than sticks. not to mention that the poles are about 5 times the size of a baton and lot heavier. even sabers are pretty heavy
