Sorry if I post this in the wrong place and please move it to best fit the content... and close it if you need to... but please just dont criticize it... its the last thing anyone needs to hear...

I recieved an email from my brother in Iraq.... and it means a lot to him for me to share this with people...

QUOTE
the real story

I know this isnt the usual e-mail you get from me.  But i know you'll know what to do with it and spread it to the right people.  First off,  I want to thank you and the entire family for backing the war and the country.  You bring hope to everybody over here doing the job, not because they have to, rather because they want to.

The soldiers over here feel hopeless, fighting a war in the name of freedom.  America has gotten so full of themselves that they think were the only country that deserves a free life.  It's the right of everybody all around the world to live in freedom.  Its dis-heartning to think that I have to go through all this, and see all that there is to see in war, to come home to a country of only a few supporters.  Is patriatism dead?  How quick can we forget about our family members, our freinds, our fellow Americans, who were killed by these very people on september 11th. Should we just except the state of the world as it is these days?  Let the "new Hitlers" go?

I am fighting here for your rights.  the very rights you use to speak out against me and my shipmates, freinds, and brothers.  They travel away from home and spill American blood on foreign soil and you call us devils for doing it.  I fight because I know there are still Americans out there with virtue.  I see it in my parents who have raised me to be who I am.  I know there is still hope in the country,  You see it everytime the American flag fly's high on somebodys front porch.

Pass this e-mail along to friends and Americans, let them know we fight for them, and we apreciate that you, in your own ways, fight for us.

With all my love for the country, because i have been there
-a sailor

Enjoy.

I'm sure that everyone here at cB would agree to personally give thanks to him and everybody that fights for the country and ideals, not because he is told to follow, but rather because he believes in freedom and virtue.

How could I even miss this topic?!?~

Your brother is a hero, and so is every single soldier who fights for freedom to be a reality. This email strengthens my resolve to continue supporting our military by word of mouth.

Oh, when you have the chance to send him another email, please send him this rose for me. Thanks!

Awwwww cry.gif Well of course, I know that they don't kill them for fun...well yeah half of them are like that. But I know half of the people who are still at the war is doing their best for their country! Well I'm glad your brother is one them! This is very saddening... sigh anyways sometimes I think that American has no freedom these days. Well I know the right is to serve our country and support our country and all... but the soldiers in the war... they pretty much don't have freedom. they always have to be in the war, die, get injurged..... i know half of the soldiers wants to come back real bad.... heh im glad i met one of the soldiers from iraq... he's korean btw... and during christmas day, he came over to his visit his family. good thing i was there to hear his interesting story. but i dont know i got a broken heart cause you know they had to go back and fight again T___________T;; i mean if i had a boyfriend and my boyfriend was in that kind of situation, i would be terrified and so sad T__T;; i mean wouldn't you guys feel the same?

Anyways --- I hope someday we'll win again and stop the war and give the soldiers the freedom they want cry.gif

They don't have freedom? blink.gif They volunteer to go into the military. They're not denied their rights. They're just fighting for what they believe in...they're fighting for freedom. If we didn't have soldiers, how else would we have freedom?

Anywho, I really appreciated this e-mail. I share the same feelings Fae does. I am so thankful for those that are serving and I give them all the respect they deserve. They simply amaze me for what they do for this country. Thank you.

i'm very thankful for the help they provide, though i'm against the war in general..i just don't think we should have gone in. but i am thankful for the soldiers that are helping now that it's been done.
