well i'm 11 and i do go to abercrombie forever 21 hollister american eagle etc. but nothing makes those kinda clothes for older ppl its whats in now skirts r rly in rightnow and stuff and there r no other cool clothing stores other than those so jsut let us wear clothes its a good point though im not offending u or anything but wearing a skirt doesnt make u dress any older 3 year olds wear skirts and young grls at my school wear whats in because its fashionable and we dont want to go to the gap or old navy

not necessarily skirts in general but you know what, i'm going to be blunt. it doesn't matter if its 'cool' or 'in'...but thats not the point. its not wearing a skirt its when you dress like your 16 years old or older and you look like a ho. thats what pisses me off. _dry.gif

i certainly agree with all you kiddos, except for dttmdancer like stephinika said, it's not about just the 'cool thing' or the 'in' thing but it's more of the dressing of like a skank, whore, or slut, the terms used by your elders. Clothing of this, is more of whether it's revealing or too much for older people rather than for kids, like a thong? for a 9 YEAR OLD? OH HECK NO...what are these parents thinking? and there is definately nothing wrong with OLD NAVY or GAP! GAW...the future generation is lost...sorry to say...they think that OLD NAVY and the GAP aren't cool. well news flash, not everything has to be cool...HA!

i think it's cause the 11 year old teeny boppers are being more exposed to trend-following things. it's not only about fashion yannouw? they have enormous attitude towards their elders now. it's annoying.

I agree, I was thinking about what you said too. It's all because of magazines and celebrities changing your self- image to try to have the perfect body and be sexy and everything, but when you're like 10 it doesn't really work too well, you just gotta wait...

Ick-I no wut u mean. I was at Burger King once and I saw this little six year old girl wit like this THING tied around her chest and this short, short, EXTREMLEY like XXX short skirt. And she had these gigantic hoops too....they prolly added 10 pounds to her.
0.0 I'm 12 and eben the girls at my school don't dress like that >.<

[Edit 6:37pm]
Wtf????? Gap n Old Navy are cool.
dttmdancer-wut u need to do is get your snobby little nose out of all those fashion magazines and see that "fashionable" clothes aren't always the best.

Ugh. I reallly feel ya on the little kids wearing the halter tops part. That's just gross...

Seriously. I'd much rather the little 5 year olds stick to wearing their little teddy bear print jammies.

-.-

Before you all post about how all the middle school girls dress as sluts, you might want to think about who reads your posts...

Not all little "middle school whatever you call them" people dress like skanks, just incase you all had that impression.

i agree. it's really quite disgusting to see some little kid/preteen walking around dressed in even more revealing clothing than me. still, i think its funny when they walk around "strutting their stuff" when they dont have anything to strut.

every generation is growing up faster and faster. I have an 12 year old aunt (dont ask) and the other day she wanted to wear this shirt that had nothing down the middle so her lil boobies would be all over the place. I really dont get it....at her age i was thinking bout looking sexy...never even crossed my mind. i dont understand it at all.

today we're not saying it's not OKAY for kids to shop in stores like Forever 21, Abercrombie & Fitch, etc.. but we are saying it's not okay for kids to dress like they're ready for sex when they're only 8.. for them to wear thongs to show off their ass cheeks, or a skirt that's only 2 inches long.. and their butt cheeks are hanging out.. and having their whole midriff showing.. i mean, they're 8 year olds.. they're not 21 year old girls going out clubbing and trying to pick up guys and getting guys to buy them a drink.. but that's what a lot of us are seeing and it's REALLY gross.. yea fashion for kids have totally changed since my time but it doesn't have to be so sexified..

ROFL!! Don't you love those bopper boys that are like 10-12 and wear those HUUUGGEEEEEE fubu and ecko and phat farm.. ROFL. It makes me LAUGH..

And than the slutty, flat-chested little girls who wear V-cuts that go to the middle of their stomach.. complete with those TEENY little shorts that let your ass hangout. Absolute YUMM..

...T.T Our generation is soo messed up.

I didn't wear any 'clubbing' clothes til about 8th grade...

i'm torn! i think that, yes, some youngsters were wearing some things that my mom wouldn't approve of but i don't know. the stores put them on display but it is the kids that buy it.

oh in 5th grade, there was this girl wearing a thong from abercrombie and all the parents wigged out! pinch.gif

I see kids at the elementary school of my niece wearing those saggy ghetto pants and all it bugs me.. they're still young why would they wear that.. back then I'd rather have fun playing hide and seek than care about what I'm wearing or in i'm "in" or not
