i always browse through yahoo movies to see the critics reviews on the movies i have seen/ want to see, and they give out really low evaluations to the movies i love. I think they are too strict sometimes, when the users give certain movie an A-, the critics give it a C+ or B-.
I was browsing through all the academy winning movies to see if they've ever given out an A or A+, the closest i've seen was Mystic River or Seabiscuit (I don't remember), i think it was an A or A-.

i don't think that they are too strict. They are here to criticize movie and give us their opinions. If they all give A+, A, A- to every movie, then what's the point of having them? Each critic likes different things, find one you agree with and just read that one then.

exactly. Also, 98% of the time they are right about the movie. If it gets a low rating, it almost always sucks ass. And when the movie gets a high rating, then it's good. They know good movies when they see them.

not really...i don't listen to movie critics anyways. sometimes i disagree so i just judge the movies by myself, cause some that they say are good i don't like or some they say are bad, i do like.

perhaps it because they are right ....

I tend not to listen to just one critic as everyone has different tastes ... that is why http://www.rottentomatoes.com is very convenient because it accumulates every critics opinion and gives you a rating 0-100%. More times than not, they are always correct.

well that's what critics are for- they're suppose to critique movies. and i agree- usually when they give a movie a bad rating, it's because the movie is bad, and vice versa. anyways, i don't usually pay attention to the reviews, i just watch a movie and tell for myself what i think of it.

no i just think they suck. there needs to be more teenage movie critics. a lot of movies aren't geared toward 50+ year old men who don't have a real job and just sit around and watch movies for a living

i think sometimes they are too strict and sometimes they arent. if ther is a just plain horrible movie, people have to know that, so they say what they think... sometimes other percieve it as too strict, but i don't: they're just expressing their views.

I don't care.
It's just an opinion of someone else.

naw, i don't think they are too strict. Tho sometimes they do give one of my favorite movies a low rating, it's cool. Usually the are right about it neway, lol but to me every movie doesn' t have to get an "A" from a movie critic to be a good movie. But usually they are pretty right about their ratings.
