okay, awhile ago my boyfriend won these goldfish at this fair thing, he kept them in his room and the next morning they died cry.gif

he put them in a big tank/bowl, like the size of a big cake box, he gave them fish food and fresh water...it wasn't too cold or too hot, they had enough air around the tank...how could they have died? huh.gif

**i looked for a pets forum but i didn't find one...is this where this belongs? _unsure.gif

***i'm talking about this now because i was playing this game on yahoo which had goldfish

i thought of that...but i didn't think that they would die that fast, it wasn't even 24 hours, probably not even 12 _unsure.gif

Did you guys use chemicals to kill the chlorine?

The chlorine might've killed the goldfishes...u need special chemicals to de-toxin the water.. and you have to make sure there isn't alot of ammonia in the water too.

Sigh oh well, goldfishes won tend to be sickly and die easily. Fishes are hard creatures to please. sad.gif

You have to think about the conditions of the fish before he got them. Perhaps they were in a bad environment where he won them?

Like, 3 of my fish died when I first got them..

I think they couldn't adjust to my water or something. We bought like, 13 of them and only like, 3 died.

Poor fishies.

oh i've played that game its fun =]

and this is the right area, lounge is for random htings.

anyway, goldfish..are like not good for pets...mostly because they die really easily.
i had one and it died the next day...i don't know why, maybe its just the environment? maybe they need like...special living conditions? i dont know =/

I've had my gold fish since.. July? their still alive.

Well what the lady at the petstore told me..
Gold fishes releases alot of Nitrogenous wastes, so they need alot of space. Putting them in bowls isn't a good idea, since they need a filter to filter the water in the bowl. Try using those Salts and the Chlorine stuff with the water next time.

I really think it was the pH levels that killed them. You must have chemicals that will dechlorinate the water for the goldfish.
