I made this skin using a recolored picture of my husband's project car (Mustang Sally). It's the first time I've used custom modules and the blog on the background. How is it? Any suggestions? I know I took a manly car and made a girly skin, but I AM a girl...lol.

not too bad! only thing is, it's misaligned on my screen. try going to look and feel and right near the top, choose the left alignment instead of middle.
if that doesn't work, ignore me =D |

When I put it left aligined, my module disappears. How much is it off when I have it center aligned? I was also wondering if anyone knew any photoshop techniques to cut the background out of the picture? The magic wand doesn't work because the tires almost match the driveway, so it selects everything. I tried a bunch of ways, but I have a feeling there's an easier way than painting over it. I also tried using the selection brush, but the edges aren't smooth enough that way. This is the original picture I was using. I'm trying to do a similar skin for my hubby, only in the green he's eventually going to paint it.

its pretty far off when you center align it..hm. if you're using div layers then you can get your module to move when you left align it.
about the picture, you can use the lasso tool and feather the image, or if you don't have a steady hand, try the magnetic lasso tool. if the magnetic one starts to go where you don't want it to, just click the place you want it to go and it'll be a fixed point. experiment a little =] |

I left aligined it and I think I have the module where it belongs. It looks OK for me, but I don't know about everyone else. Thanks for the help! It seems like the lasso tool doesn't get the edge smooth enough. Is there a setting I should change on it to make it have more places where it "grabs"? Does it look alligined correctly now?

*Sigh of relief* It seems like I can never position it so it looks good for everyone. As long as it's somewhere near where it belongs, I'm happy! Thanks
