im facing a similar problem. my girlfriend is playfully abusive, but it gets really annoying. the bad thing is that defending yourself, either blocking or actually fighting back, is borderline reflex. i HATE the thought of physically hurting my girlfriend, but when she hits me and i instictively block or grab her arm or something (not with the intent of hurting her) and i accidently hurt her, i cant say that im entirely sorry for what happened. i told her a long time ago that i would never raise my hand against her. even playfully i hate it, but she does that sort of thing to me all the time and me, not seeing as it being that big of a deal, continue to endure. it just annoys the crap out of me that i could make a habit of even playfully fighting back when she hits me. okay fine, so i say retarded things. i know that when she hits me thats her way of saying, travis, youre a dork. shes not (most of the time) angry with me, shes just joking, but a punch is a punch and a hit is a hit. it doesnt hurt or annoy me any less. i say you had it coming for you when you hit him in the first place. i dont think it really means anything. it was a not very well thought out act of retalliation on his part, not necesarily the beginning of an abusive relationship. dont worry. youre fine. hes fine. move on.

ok heres wut i think about this:
-dump him -he shouldnt have hit u back although you did hit him -u shouldve expected that if u knew he was that angry and couldve blocked or something =\ -well b4 the dumping think about ur feelings about him..do u love him?? did u guys have great times b4 the fight? is he worth ur love? -tlk about it w/ him..apologize and maybe he'll understand and apologize too -and if u think u can get someone better than that then go for it.. |
