Since 2-3 years I've noticed that there was a lot of remakes. Hollywood would buy the rights to make remakes, but the worse thing is that they do not credit it at all. I mean movies like: The Ring, The Grudge, Shall We Dance are all remakes plus I heard they were going to remake My Sassy Girl, A Tale Of Two Sisters. Seriously I don't know why they would, it just ruins the movie. Why don't they let people appreciate the original movie by subbing it instead? I'm sort of mad, directors and scriptwriter works very hard and especially the actors to make the movie famous. At my school, I've seen some people that were saying that other countries is copying them. I'd like them to credit it at least, say that it is a remake or something like that. Yes they have bought the rights to do a remake but, they were not the one who came up with the script and made it famous. Sorry I don't know if this is in the right section, but I just wanted to know your opinion about it. _unsure.gif

You have to understand, Americans aren't going to sit and read a subtitled movie. We're too lazy.

^ Right. On top of that, writers are apparently having a writer's block and can't think of any new ideas.

lol The grudge is a remake from Ju-On lol it was directed by the director that directed the original version in Japan. At least they followed the script and didn't change anything like in the Ring :) that makes me happy hehehe

There are still some great remakes out there cool.gif Like Oceans 11...or phantom of the opera....parent trap...the remakes sometimes makes you want to see the original. And when the writers and producers remake stuff they have to get the legal rights, and probably some sort of agreement with the people or company that made the original. lol, so i wouldn't be too worried about it cool.gif

But they do the subtitles... so yeah. Well anyways I don't really care as long as they don't say "I created this story" blink.gif that would be too rude, dont you think? but yeah the movie "bridget jones diary" i know that's a remake hehe

Yeahh.. There are also way too many books made into movies... and usually the books are better than the movies. I don't think they should really do that. When Harry Potter first came out, kids all suddenly started reading again instead of watching T.V.

But then they ruined it by making them into movies. Kinda sucks...
