yes, peer pressure can be harmful, especially to teenagers, since they're in the middle of moral development. they're at the stage where they do things to please others, rather than listening to their own consciences. but i think that programs such as DARE are trying to turn peer pressure into a positive thing.. it's teaching kids to pressure their peers into doing the "right" thing.

Depends on when it used and how it used.

If you mean during a time when some others kids try to get you to take drugs or drink or do something you know it wrong, peer pressure is very bad and you shouldn't give in.

However, I used peer pressure when I play cards or playing a game. It more useful for me since I can win easily.
