Splits, Can you?

Can you do the splits? I cant do it all the way. NE one have ne Tips to do the splits. I have to do this dance that requires the splits and I haveta learn >_<

haha, same here. i can almost do a split, but i'm not flexible enough to do a full one.

I use to be a cheerleader and I use to be able to do the splits to the left, right, and center. My coach would come behind us and push us down gently while we were in the splits stance. Try having someone do that. It will hurt but eventually you will get it.

I can't... I used to though.. when I was about 6 or 7 cuz I was a dancer. I don't remember how I did it, haha. I was really flexible back then.. Not anymooore

I would like to see a guy do a split. It must hurt like hell.

But nope, I can't do a split. I'm not that flexible. But this girl can. Actually, I think everyone that does gymnastics can.

I could do them all the way in 3rd grade...
unfortunately, i'm not that flexable anymore...
i can do them a little more than half way lol.

My friend can do the splits, and he's a guy. He's in some professional cheerleading thing..

I'm really bad at splitting haha I can't even reach to the bottom. Cause I don't really exercise.

i agree w/ cmgchica717 .. thats how i used to do them. it took a while for me though. it hurts at first, but after PRACTICE it'll be fun and u'll be doing splits everyday!
i havent done a split in over a year *tries it ... OUCH!* crazy.gif stubborn.gif

i can do a front split, i can't really do a center split but when i do spread eagle it comes off naturally, all you can do is just stretch everyday

i wish i could do them. i can go almost all the way though. but do what others are suggesting. do it every day and you'll get used to it. good luck!

I can't even touch my toes. I only go up to my knee, which is really pathetic. I am not even close to being flexible, so i can't do the splits. It looks like it hurts though. ><

haha yah im trying to do a front split. I've been stretching and trying to split for like a week. At least I see myself get lower ^.^ still needa learn to actually go down on the floor >_<

my dance teacher makes us sit in front of the wall in a split position(or almost split position) and then she pushes as hard as she can on our butt so our legs are being forced into the splits. painful. yes. but i guess it works if you do it everysingle days. try it with your worst enemy. rolleyes.gif

I can't do it, but there's this one guy in my 3rd period that can and also put his legs behind his head and start doing push up from that position.

i can do front splits either way and i'm about 1 inch off the ground for centre splits. biggrin.gif i do a lot of dance so yeah..but all you can really do is stretch and practice often y'know? it takes time, but you'll get it eventually. happy.gif

Haha, my uncle was telling me a story of when he was in high school. This guy was pretending to do a split, and this other guy smacked him hard on the back, and he ended up doing a split. A hard one. pinch.gif Rofl. Anyways, no, I cannot do a full split.

go as far as you can go without hurting yourself today.
tomorrow, go a little further.
gradullary go farther until you've done a split. we don't want you to stretch anything.
