before i had white txt but he didnt like it so i changed it to blakc but then he couldnt read it so then i added the white box but im too lazy to line it up at the moment, maybe later

The text on your navi is fuzzy. And you can't really see the blog because of that dark part on the picture. And the plain black for the background is ugh. Overall, it's not very exciting, and just not well put together. But nice try. Seeing as how it's only your second time making a layout, I'm sure you'll get better.

the title certainly caught my attention. my band geek-osity is getting a bit out of hand

the text is kind of blurry, and it doesnt fit my screen(or the alignment is off, either way) plus, you should try getting rid of some of the space at the top, but hell, its a band layout!!!

I love that quote in your siggy, tweeak, because it`s so true! The perspective of a non-band member spectator from a dedicated band member/director/lover/etc is wayyy different. *sigh..I miss band. :[ I try not to be a band geek, but heyyy..gotta embrace the title! haha nice layout! Reminds me of the goold ol` band days. :]

haha, thanks. when i wrote it down, i was thinking of it meaning people looking back on marching season and realizing how great the field show really was, but then i realized that it also doesnt come together unless youre looking at it from far away, so that the press box is high up and the directors watch from towers

That`s true, too. In order for it to actually look like something, the director always has to look from the top view. Reason why my director always carried a ladder and stood couple of meters away and looked down at us from there. Since I`m a graduate-vet now, I went to couple of the games and watched the band, and WOW did it look awesome. All those 4 years, and I didn`t really get to know/see how beautiful the field looks while everybody is marching - I finally saw the beauty of the routine the band have came up with. It`s real lovely..I love it!! :D

yeah, we have a big metal tower that he has to use a mic to talk to us from

watching the videos of old shows, its so much different than it seemed marching it, because when it seems that sets suck, they may not look so bad from above

but also, youre never satisfied with the show while youre learning and performing them, but after the season you realize how great it really was and how much you miss it and that you were pretty good after all (except that that realization came singularly from the last competition- the first two suggested otherwise)

lol, yep. I miss marching band.. :( Stupid college..(>.<) I would try out, but they only give 1 credit for being in that class - which suckors real badly. hrmph! Marching Band Pride!! YEAH! hahaha..I`m glad that I`m not the only band obsessed freak here.. ;x

nope, not at all. im not going to stay in band in college. im not very good. i do in fact enjoy band a lot more in retrospect than in actuality.

the alignment is off for me. the entries are on the right side by the smaller white box instead of on the left in the big white box... the blue border clashes with everything else... not too bad for your second though. lol mine sucked...
