Ooonce my friend IMed me (this was like.. in April. When I submitted skins and skins and skins) and she sent me this link to one of my skins. And she said "This person seems so much like you. It's eyrie o_o;" and I was like "Uhhh.. heh heh heh xD" She was the first one to find out that I went to CB, had a Xanga and was basically into that Webdesign stuff. Another friend knows but she doesn't come here.. And I know a few people in person that go here.. BUT ANYWAYS. When I first came to this topic I thought that Jusun was actually hiring members, as in FOR MONEY, and I was like "Whoa!" and then I clicked on it and was relieved.

being a mod is a lot more work than you think, you guys, so if you guys dont wanna actually do work, then dont apply. (as there has been some slacking moderators in the past - most have been demodded since then.) i remember having to do the work of like 2 people. but then im also a workaholic at the same time, so that's alright. but yeah, if you're lazy and you just want to become a mod for the title and the privelages/authority over others, then dont apply. you become a mod because you WANT to help others.

Yes, I agree. It seems like some people are doing just for the label as a mod. Hopefully the people who are doing it just for the title, dont get chosen, because they arent going to do the job. I've never been a mod, but like you said, you have to want to help others, not just so you can be "cool". I can tell, by all the things I've seen the mods go through, that it's hard work. Major Props to the Mods!

I personally really want to be a part of the moderating team.
I don't want the job just because of a neat title and because of the ability to close topics.
I know it is a lot of work.. no matter what position.
I've modded at a few other forums before. They weren't as big, but I know it gets to be a lot of work.
I'm serious about this. I want that job. I do understand if I don't get it, though, because there were a lot of good applications.

I could care less about the title.
Closing topics is the minor part of the job.
I guess I should have worded it better, but I could care less about the title and about having the ability to close topics. Well, I care.. but that's not WHY I want the job. I want the job because I seriously do want to help people.

i havent read all the apps yet, and havent begun reading the posts here, but just wanted to stop by and let everyone know that the admins will be coming together tomorrow to go over the applicants. cant really say when we're going to decide on the new staff members, but the three of us should have a good idea by the end of this weekend.

theres been so many people staff candidates with impressive standings that we might even increase the number of people staff we're going to hire. and we're still looking for blogger and xanga staff candidates.
