Is it really animal cruelty when the dogs aren't harmed?

Sex doesn't have any side effects, does it?
Is sex cruel?
Bestiality should be legal.

Dog's do not have the capacity to discern what it wants or doesnt want. If it did they would have the rank of humans. Dogs run on instinct.

we don't know that, but if they don't back away they must not mind. if you hit a dog, it becomes scared and backs away because they don't want you to. it works the same way.

Really, dogs don't have the mental capability to know what it wants?
If it's thirsty, it won't head over to a dish of water?
If it's cold, it won't seek for shelter?
I can keep going with examples, but I'm lazy.

The only thing that generally separates animals and humans is one main thing - the ability to REASON.
That is what would bring animals to the 'rank of humans' as you so poorly put it.
Hell, Dolphins and Chimps can be pretty damn smart if you ask me.

Speaking of which, how about trained animals? Seeing eye dogs and the like?
Are they the same challenged creatures you categorized dogs in?
Answer me that, genius.

Your disrespect for animals sickens me.

Well, when you hit a dog, it hurts. That's why they back away. But sex is a very natural process dogs go through...and it doesn't hurt, so why would they back away?

Of course, you can take a human example too. For some reason society has lead us to believe that children cannot speak for themselves. If a little 2 year old girl is being raped, she really doesn't have much defense against herself. And she also does not know how to feel (because what the man's doing to her...it feels somewhat good?). Is it a bad thing that this man is touching me? Is it a good thing that this man is making me feel good? This leads on to immense confusion...and usually it lasts long enough for rape to happen.

Somehow, that's wrong in society. If children are raped, it's considered wrong. But what right do you have to say the child did not object to this form of cruel and unusual punishment? But of course, the child is emotionally damaged. But how do you know that? An average two year old doesn't know how to fully explain themselves or think straight (at least, for me. I was a pretty late bloomer).

The same with dogs. Dogs cannot speak for themselves and therefore their superiors (humans) speak for them, just like adults speak for small children. This doesn't mean that dogs aren't intelligent, because they are in many ways, but dogs simply cannot express themselves in a way humans would understand.

If it's wrong to rape/have sex with a toddler, why isn't it wrong to rape/have sex with an animal, when both of them cannot speak for themselves?

Would modern society actually do the opposite - say that children are actually agreeing to rape? And that dogs are forced into sex?

I'm afraid not.

ok, better example. when i put my hand out gently in front of my dog, she comes and pokes it with her nose because she wants me to pet her. however, when she does something bad, you can tell she knows it cause when my mom walks in the room, she backs away because she knows she's gonna get hit. (i used my mom there for a reason; i would never hit my dog and i hate it when my mom does, but that's beside the point.) she doesn't want to get hit, and she hasn't been hit yet so it hasn't hurt her. she knows what's gonna happen though, so she backs away because she doesn't want it to.

It is a better example =)

Hmm...but still. It doesn't really answer/reply to my point. My point was that dogs will pull away if it is something they don't like. And from your example, the dog still pulls away from something that they don't want to encounter. Your dog knows she's going to get hurt. That's why she pulls away early. But if your dog knows that she's going to have sex...now why would she pull away? (see last post, it said that sex was natural, etc)

I don't know if I'm making sense, lol.

And out of curiosity, what's the "campaign?" (on your signature). It looks interesting =)

Sikdragon made himself the unofficial Debate Section Owner, despite the basic political philosophies of democracy, voting, and the "majority rules" concept.

And I'm not sure if that was an insult or compliment, seeing as how the "more" could be a typo, but I take it that sikdragon is undoubtedly smart and spends time...er...learning.

EDIT// by the way, there's a typo for the topic. It's beastiality, not bestiality.

First of all, humans and chickens arent genitically alike enough to produce offspring. Either you're really young, or you havent paid enough attention in bio/science/health class. That's not possible.
2ndly I shall give you step by step instructions to check if this is true.
www.google.com
search beastiality/farm sex
click on site
not only info, but free porno too! yay!!

okay, what im trying to say is if there is a word for it, then its true.
