I onced had thick hair. I weighed 123-124 and i starved myself, so by that, i weighed 119, and my mom says from starving myself i lost my hair, well its thickness, and i was wondering if you girls now how to gain it back, i do have one answer, but i just want your opinions that's all.

Don't make yourself starve to death. Just eat lots of salad bars!! Lots of vegetables! Eat healthy foods and lots of water. And lots of breads too.

dont go anorexic. i know its not fun even though i didnt go through it. eat vegetables and meat at the same time then youd be medium and okay.

Eat healthy.. Eat period.

And exercise. About your hair though.. I guess healthy eating habits will help you get the nutrients you hair needs to grow.

ahh! u starved urself?? thats not kool. WHY? oh why why why? grr, well...just eat healthy fats, like nuts and some carbs, like wheat bread and pasta with red sauces, not white. just start eating again, and i think that ur hair will grow. eat veggies like carrots and stuff. just eat damn it!

^eh i agree. lol. it kinda makes me grimace and scroll past it really fast.

but yah i had the same problem. it's cuz ur not getting enough nutrients in your body...and ur hair needs nutrients to grow and stay thick and beautiful! happy.gif So i mean, if you want to lose weight or cut back on eating, then do so, but don't starve urself. eat lots of fruits and vegetables, and carbs in moderation, and no sweets and you'll be even healthier then before. and i promise ur hair will get better if you do that stuff happy.gif

eat healthy, and lots of protein, (since thats basically whats your hair is made of anyway) and i dunno use thickening gel or something, personally i hate my super thick hair i wish it was thin...

You have to let it grow in... how do yuo do that? Well, you eat healthy. If you dont' eat food your body slowly starts to shut down. It sorta goes into survival mode and it takes the nutrients that would normally go to your hair and gives them to necessary survival functions, enery, etc.

i doubt it, she weighs 119, unless she's really really tall, she can't be anorexic, most people suffering from anorexia weigh like 30-70 pounds

i don't think it's because you're starving yourself, you only lost 5 pounds, like what others have said, get volumizing shampoo

it's not just about eating healthy, be active too.

i recommend kung fu! of course, i always do. :) or just any activity that can make you work up a sweat or get sore.

oh and also, make sure that before you do any activities and especially with weightlifting, stretch every muscle that you'll be using or focusing on. it'll take down the chances of you getting hurt. i stretch afterwards too, but that's just me, so i don't get bulky.. how limber you are can decide a lot of sparring matches.
